    as well as a number of technical parameters, including tap changer timings and number of tap changes. The system is 100% optical and thus immune to electromagnetic fields and noise. Sensor data is collected by the SDAS data acquisition unit, which utilizes built-in edge computing capability to analyse raw data before uploading the processed data results to the cloud. The system can be used with a self-hosted server or CEKOs cloud solution. Multiple communication interfaces are available including LoRa, Ethernet, 4G, Sigfox and WiFi.   • Transformer Monitoring

    CEKO Sensors’s newest optical monitoring technology is now used at Danish DSO (distribution system operator) Radius for substation transformer monitoring. The system utilizes the optical OA-1 sensors and SDAS data acquisition unit for 100% reliable operation and electromagnetic interference immunity.

    A single transformer monitoring system provides valuable insight on both temperatur, transformer health and tap changer on multiple transformers. This allows for better control during overloads, predictive maintenance strategies and less down time. Data can be uploaded directly to your own cloud solution or it can be provided as a simple external data source, eliminating the need for complicated data integration and security issues.

  • Circuit Breaker Monitoring

    CEKO Sensors launches new monitoring solution for high voltage circuit breakers. The system enables predictive maintenance capability, minimizes risk of breakdowns and black-outs, prolongs lifetime and improves safety. The system is based on CEKO’s metal-free optical MEMS sensor technology combined with advanced algorithms and monitors multiple parts of the circuit breaker including dampers, springs, push rod, motors and synchronization. Before sending circuit breaker health information and trend statistics to the server, data is analysed using edge-computing to minimize bandwidth usage.   • Collaboration with Danish TSO Energinet

    CEKO Sensors has initiated a collaboration with Danish transmission system operator (TSO) Energinet on predictive maintenance enabling technology for high voltage assets on substations. CEKO is to provide provide monitoring technology and software solutions that can create smarter and more intelligent operation and maintenance, prolong asset lifetime and reduce risk of black-outs and catastrophic failure.

  • CEKO closes 2nd round investment

    CEKO Sensors has closed an investment of approximately 1 mio Euro. The investment combines additional capital from new investors with a reduction of existing investor receivables. The new investors represent a massive capital base and extensive experience in industrial production, operations, sales, legal affairs and economy.

    The new investment will secure additional growth in CEKO sensors and support the further commercialization of the CEKO OA1 MEMS sensor series and the new S-DAS data acquisition system.

    The OA1 sensor series is based on MEMS chip technology. It is ideally suited for applications in harsh environments, due to being 100% optical with no risk of short-circuits, metal-free and immune to electromagnetic fields. The sensors do not require a local power source, is 1/100 the volume of competing technology, has high temperature resistance and allows for remote, distributed monitoring solutions across distances of up to 40 km.

    The S-DAS data acquisition system is a state-of-the-art solution for industrial IoT applications in harsh environments. The system combines sensor data collection, edge computing and cloud up-link in a ruggedized and compact unit. Utilizing the analysis power of the CEKO cloud software complete monitoring solutions automatic, intelligent decision making is available.

    The demand for optical sensors and system solutions is increasing in multiple high value markets, including wind energy, oil & gas, power transmission, aerospace and with an expected growth also in the military and medico markets.

    CEKOs products increase production and asset lifetime in several applications. Specific applications include ice-detection on wind turbine blades and power transmission cables, structural monitoring for predictive maintenance, monitoring of cryogenic and flammable industrial gasses, airfoil monitoring and cardiac rhythm measurements during MRI scanning.
